On February 22, Protect Minnesota with its partners (National Council of Jewish Women-Minnesota, Muslim Jewish Women of Minnesota, Reviving the Islamic Sisterhood for Empowerment) is welcoming lawmakers back to the Capitol and letting them know that the people of Minnesota won’t accept any weakening of state gun laws.
The event has two parts:
On four Sundays, February 4 and 11 and March 4 and 11 from 9:15 to 10:25, Vicki Elliott from Thrivent Financial will join us in the Library for the Faith Forum to talk about financial management and planning from a Christian perspective. The group will not only talk about budgets, but also about values, and how our financial plans and goals can reflect your beliefs and what you care about.
Perhaps you read the editorial in the Wednesday, January 10 Star Tribune entitled “Affordable housing becomes a top priority.” Governor Dayton has just formed the Governor’s Task Force on Housing. He has appointed Representative Alice Hausman to that task force.
